Every year, the Brazilian Delegation of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy presents Christmas food baskets to the Church of Saint Anthony in the Barra Funda district of São Paulo for them to be distributed to needy families at the end of a particularly evocative ceremony that is held one week before Christmas. This ceremony was attended by the Knights and Dames of the Brazilian delegation.

This initiative has become an important tradition in the neighbourhood, given the urgent need for support and assistance to the local population. The event came to life thanks to the invaluable collaboration of the late Comm. Roberto Frizzo, who passed away prematurely a few months ago, after having given considerable impetus to the Delegation’s philanthropic endeavours.

“The Mauritian spirit continues to guide the efforts of our delegation. We strongly believe that helping others paves the way for reshaping the destiny of a world that is increasingly in need of empathy, compassion and a revival of the values that have defined our societal progress, all for the purpose of building a more promising future,” said Comm. Dott. Mario Antonio Turnaturi, Delegate for Brazil of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy.
